    Since our last newsletter I had continued travelling for Confirmations with our young people in the Southern Mackay Cluster and in the Valleys Region Parish of our Diocese.  I will be continuing with Confirmations in the Peak Downs and Blackwater in October when I return from leave.  This will finish my travels for Sacraments for this year.  My office is currently in the process of planning next year’s schedule for these already with our parish offices.

  • Rodeo at St Brendan’s College

    St Brendan’s College recently wrapped up its annual SBC/9 Mile Investments Rodeo for 2022.  Once again, the event was a massive success and the College expressly thanks the wonderful backing from sponsors, parents and staff who without their support would not make this event possible.

    A competitive spirit and never-give-up attitude proved the winning formula for the team from Mercy College, Mackay, who took out first place at the Queensland final of the University of Newcastle, Science and Engineering Challenge held at the Gold Coast recently.
