  • Jubilee Celebrations of our Priests

    In early August, Bishop Michael and the people of the Rockhampton Diocese honoured the Priestly Jubilarians of 2020 and 2021. These were Mons John Grace, Rev John Daly and Rev Warren Kinne SSC, Rev Bryan Hanifin, Rev John Hayes and Rev Don White.

    In July our diocese was very blessed to be able to host the Xavier School of Mission. Xavier School of Mission is an annual event that has been running for several years in Brisbane based at Holy Spirit Seminary aiming to equip and form leaders in evangelisation.

  • Building site blessed at new Catholic college

    The Official Blessing of the building site for the new Catherine McAuley College, Mackay, was conducted during Catholic Education Week last month.

    A celebratory Mass was held at Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg on Wednesday 28 July 2021 to mark 75 years since the hospital first opened its doors to care for the Wide Bay community.
