Our parish looks forward to three women coming into full communion with us at this Easter Vigil.
The children are on holidays, and we are preparing for the joyful celebrations of Holy Week. As Catholic Christians this the best time of the year to express our joy in the Risen Jesus, but parish life still continues in the lead-up to Easter.
In February, St Patrick’s Parish and the Emerald community farewelled a stalwart of the church and the Central Highlands district, at the requiem mass for John Maguire.
The Gladstone Mercy Associates are meeting regularly. The SOS Youth Team led parishioners in the Stations of the Cross.
Our men’s dinner club met on Monday 28th March. Chairman Kevin McEvoy opened with a welcome to a good crowd of members and also to our Guest Speaker Jannik Olejas from Mackay Sugar.
The Third Scrutiny for the Catechumens of the Rockhampton Parishes was held on Sunday, 3rd April.
