    For many years now Shirley Hopkins has worked hard on a completely voluntary basis to maintain the fundraising partnership with St Joseph’s Cathedral and Drakes Supermarkets to deliver much needed maintenance and upkeep support through the keytag program.

    Fr Ashwin Acharya who had spent much of his time as a deacon serving in the parish, returned for a Mass of Thanksgiving.  He lead a Eucharistic Procession through the town. We had two seminarians visit.

    Sr Lila’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration, Fr Don’s 60th Birthday, Fr Ashwin welcomed.

    On Saturday 3rd July, Fr Jomon Poothara was delighted to travel to Mabbin Station near Moranbah, for the Baptism of  Hudson Fordyce.

    The Vicar General, Fr Peter Tonti visited the Valleys Region Parish on the weekend of 3rd and 4th July for the purpose of installing the new parish priest, Fr Simeon Uchendu.
