For many years now Shirley Hopkins has worked hard on a completely voluntary basis to maintain the fundraising partnership with St Joseph’s Cathedral and Drakes Supermarkets to deliver much needed maintenance and upkeep support through the keytag program.
Fr Ashwin Acharya who had spent much of his time as a deacon serving in the parish, returned for a Mass of Thanksgiving. He lead a Eucharistic Procession through the town. We had two seminarians visit.
Fr Simeon farewelled, SOS Youth Events, First Communion Preparation and Altar serving training.

On Saturday 3rd July, Fr Jomon Poothara was delighted to travel to Mabbin Station near Moranbah, for the Baptism of Hudson Fordyce.
The Youth Group in North Rockhampton has been very busy in recent months. NAIDOC Mass was celebrated in our parish.
Thanksgiving Masses with Fr Ashwin, Farewell to Muriel, Australian Women’s Fellowship and a Memorial to remember three significant women of our community who had passed away, were just a few of the events on the Coast this month.
The Vicar General, Fr Peter Tonti visited the Valleys Region Parish on the weekend of 3rd and 4th July for the purpose of installing the new parish priest, Fr Simeon Uchendu.
