Some of our young people went to Ignite! in Brisbane. Refugee and Migrant Sunday was a good reason to come together for a ‘cuppa’. Sr Ursula gave and excellent in-service on the Eucharist as the Source and Summit of our Faith.
Our Mass on Migrant and Refugee Sunday was enriched when we celebrated in our different languages. The readings and the Prayer of the Faithful were prayed in each language – Italian, Solomon Islander, Filipino and Indian.
It was an honour for St Patrick’s Emerald to host the 2022 National Police Remembrance Day in September, a tradition that dates back more than 11 years.
Our guest speaker was amazing – Paul Crowe, son of our member Des. Paul was a policeman for 15 years and during this time he joined the CMF part-time. He is now a volunteer with a group called the QRAT.
A lovely time of fellowship was enjoyed by parishioners at Emu Park when we gathered after Tuesday evening Mass for a shared meal.
On Saturday 15 October, we had the most beautiful weather for this year’s Australia Needs Fatima Public Square Rosary, to honour our most Blessed Mother Mary and to pray for her intercession.
