Child Safe Standards

The 10 Child Safe Standards are one of two components of Queensland’s Child Safe Organisation system. They aim to protect children from harm when they interact with businesses and organisations by creating environments that prioritise their safety and wellbeing.

As you will see, there is an overarching Universal principle and cultural safety aspect as well that is entwined throughout all of the Child Safe Standards. The Universal Principle is about creating environments that make Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children feel culturally safe, which means welcome, safe, valued, included and respected.
