Trivia Afternoon

Shared Meal

On June 4th Mary Immaculate parishioners gathered after Mass for a shared meal with Fr Noel.  Fr Noel is ministering to the Capricorn Coast Parish while Fr Andrew is away overseas. Thank you Fr Noel for always being available when needed. You can have a much needed rest on Fr Andrew’s return.

Meet in the Middle

Fifteen parishioners from both sides of the parish, met at the Waterline Cafe on a very cool morning, for coffee, cake, a few laughs and a lot of chatting. Thank you to all who attended, as we learn more about each other and just enjoy the company in wonderful peaceful surroundings. We look forward to seeing you all again in two months time.

Trivia Fundraiser

The Parish Hospitality Group organised an exciting afternoon of trivia for interested parishioners. It was a fun afternoon with an 80’s theme, challenging questions and fierce competition. The afternoon tea provided was scrumptious and no one left hungry. The money raised was sent to the Lismore Diocese to help the struggling flood victims.  Thank you to all the organisers and cooks who did a wonderful job.

World Meeting of Families

The people who gathered from all over the Diocese, joined in the parish 9am Mass on Sunday morning at Sacred Heart Church. It was a delight to have them join us and to see the swell in numbers as the children were called to go out for the children’s liturgy. This gathering was held at Coolwaters Discovery Park and was a memorable time. Thank you once again to all those who organised this event.

Inservice

Sr Kym provided an in-service on June 11th, to the parishioners who currently take Communion to the Sick and Housebound. This is a treasured time for many of the people who receive these visits. Thank you Sr Kym for your time and knowledge, and thank you to the parishioners who give up their time for this much needed Ministry in these difficult times.

Musicians

We now have our lovely Sr Kym using her time and talent for the good of the Parish as she leads us in song on the piano, when our wonderful Mary has a week off. Thank you to all our wonderful musicians of the Parish who help us worship so beautifully.

We are truly blessed and have so much to be grateful for.
