News from St Ursula’s College

22 October, 2024

Year 12 students from St Ursula’s College, Yeppoon, celebrated the end of their Secondary education with a variety of activities during the past week. Bishop Michael McCarthy and Fr Matthew Moloney led students and their families in the College’s Graduation Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Lammermoor, on Monday 14 October. After Mass concluded, Year 12s performed the handover of leadership to the Class of 2025, the current Year 11 students.

The festivities continued back at the College after Mass, with Morning Tea and then the Graduation and Awards Ceremony for the Year 12s. From there, the graduating students processed out of the Ballygriffin Cultural Centre and through the College campus, before completing a final roll call with Principal, Mrs Deborah Ryan, and making their way through a guard of honour.

Many of the Year 12s will return through the College gates to undertake their external exams commencing next week. We extend our prayers and best wishes for this final step in their Secondary school journey.
