This year we celebrated Good Friday and Easter Sunday morning services at Our Lady Help of Christians, Park Avenue, Holy Family, Norman Gardens & St Mary’s, North Rockhampton.  There was one Holy Thursday and Easter Vigil service celebrated at St Joseph’s Cathedral for all communities across Rockhampton.

We were fortunate to have all our Priests presiding across all our parish services with the solemn Good Friday service and the joyful Easter Mass, with good numbers attending despite not being our regular community Mass time in some churches.

The combined music ministry from Our Lady Help of Christians, Holy Family and St Mary’s joined with other parish members from across Rockhampton for the combined celebrations on Holy Thursday and the Easter Vigil at the Cathedral, with Our Lady Help of Christian’s, Mrs Leanne Voss and Mrs Anna Coughlan, leading the music on organ and clarinet, and others joining the choir.

The Easter Vigil was especially exciting for several new members of our congregation as they were baptised, confirmed and received First Holy Communion.
