Diocesan Festival
28 April, 2023Come and share the Good News of our Diocese!
The faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton are invited to gather as we celebrate the launch of the Diocesan Pastoral Plan.
Hosted by Bishop Michael McCarthy and the members of the Diocesan Pastoral Council, this exciting gathering will give the faithful of the Diocese an opportunity to hear about the pastoral focus for our Diocese over the next five years, as we launch the Diocesan Pastoral Plan. The plan, written with reference to the Bishop’s listening process, the Diocesan Assembly, the reports written by task groups following the assembly and other information submitted during and for the Plenary and Synod processes, is a reflection of the voice of the Diocese over a number of years. The plan will encourage parishes and communities to clearly articulate and plan co-responsibility for the mission, bringing about the Kingdom of God right where we live and worship. It will also be an opportunity to hear of and share the wonderful mission and ministry activities already happening around our Diocese, in a festive and supportive environment.
Accommodation
There are a number of motels located close to the Cathedral of St Joseph. Please book and pay for your own accommodation. The Diocese will sponsor up to $120 for accommodation for those who have to travel to attend the Festival.
