The Men’s Network started in 2017. The Star of the Sea Parish Men’s Network has had a number of events over recent years, including men’s breakfasts and monthly holy hours on the first Friday. In October 2021, a Parish-based Men Alive Weekend was held with over 43 men from Gladstone and Rockhampton attending. The opportunity for men to grow in their faith through common prayer, connection with each other, and in service to the parish community are the three main aims of the Network.

Dedicated Women of Worth group
WoW celebrated Mass in the pretty little church of Ubobo to show unity and community spirit with the parishioners of Ubobo. Fr Ashwin was the celebrant and everyone enjoyed the picnic afterwards.
Parish Pastoral Council and Parish Finance Council meeting with the Bishop
PPC and PFC of Gladstone was graced by the presence of Bishop Michael McCarthy. He acknowledged ‘the diversity of the Parish/cluster’ and shared a meal with us.
