One Heart Many Faces

Emerald celebrated its rich cultural and ethnic diversity at their Multicultural Mass held in October. The theme was One Heart, Many Faces where Emerald celebrated the many faces (coming from different backgrounds), but have one heart, energised by the love of Christ. Fr Yon spoke in part, “Living in a multicultural community is a Flower Garden. The diversity of many types and various colours of flowers makes the garden look very beautiful.” The community celebrated in prayer, singing, dancing and sharing in many different cultural foods.

On the occasion of this beautiful event, Frs Truc and Yon celebrated the 100 Year anniversary of SVD’s (Divine Word Missionaries) presence in Australia.

Police Remembrance Day

Emerald Parish celebrated Police Remembrance Day with a moving service hosted at St Patrick’s Church and led by the pastoral leaders of Emerald Churches Together.

Year One Visit the Parish

St Patrick’s Year 1 student’s asked Fr Truc to explain the role of the Parish Priest. Fr Truc shared his story and entertained the children with his magic tricks which they absolutely enjoyed.
