Terry Sykes donates Stations of the Cross Artwork

A series of original contemporary artworks depicting the Stations of the Cross has been donated to Catholic Education – Diocese of Rockhampton.
Local Rockhampton artist Terry Sykes created the series donating the works to be used as a faith resource in schools and colleges.
Catholic Education Diocesan Director Leesa Jeffcoat said the generous donation was greatly received. “I was delighted to accept this amazing donation of beautiful artworks from Terry. He is a very talented artist,” Miss Jeffcoat said. “On behalf of Catholic Education I extend my very sincere thanks to Terry for this wonderful gift and for sharing his artistic endeavours so generously.”
Mr Sykes previously taught in Catholic schools in the Diocese and often assists with the restoration work of many religious statues.
In addition to the large original works, a set of smaller digital prints has also been curated as a prayer resource for spiritual formation in schools.
