Challenge Cup 2025

22 July, 2025

Challenge Cup was once again held at the Capricorn Coast this year with 32 netball and 24 rugby league teams competing. All 31 Catholic primary schools from across the Diocese were represented over three days of sport. There were many tightly contested games, with students enjoying great rivalry and friendship. This year was the 19th Challenge Cup Carnival and for the first time the carnival was not held at St Brendan’s College. The Barmaryee Sports Precinct was the venue for this year’s competition and we would like to thank Livingstone Shire Council for their support in organising the event. The event cannot happen without the support of our Catholic Education office, the staff of St Benedict’s and Sacred Heart and the families of both schools.

This year the Rugby League Challenge Cup was won by St John the Baptist, Gladstone. The Netball Challenge Cup was won by Sacred Heart, Yeppoon and the Overall Catholic Schools Challenge Cup by Sacred Heart, Yeppoon. Congratulations to all those who competed and contributed to this wonderful event. We hope to see you all next year.
