Safeguarding Training Across the Diocese
15 February, 2019Judy Pidcock, Professional Standards & Safeguarding Manager, and Jill Yates, Safeguarding & Pastoral Response Coordinator, are travelling around the Diocese delivering the latest version of the Diocesan Safeguarding Training.
For some of our volunteers and staff this will be a renewal session, for others this will be their first time. Either way volunteers in ministry and staff are required to attend this training to learn the latest requirements and best practice for working with children and vulnerable adults. This is for the benefit and safety of all parties.
Judy is only new to the Manager’s role, taking over from Daniel Donnini at the start of 2019. It is a chance for her to see in person all the places across our Diocese and meet the communities that make each place so special and unique. The full trip will take almost two weeks.
Sessions have begun and will continue over the next week as follows:
- Sunday 17th – Yeppoon
- Monday 18th & Tuesday 19th – Mackay
- Wednesday 20th – Walkerston
- Thursday 21st – Moranbah
- Friday 22nd – Clermont
- Saturday 23rd – Barcaldine
- Sunday 24th – Emerald
