Top 5 Award for The Haven
19 February, 2024After taking out the top award in the Capricorn Coast Wedding Awards for Boutique Wedding Accommodation and second for Unique Wedding Venue, The Haven has been recognised as an industry leader after being placed in the top five at the National Australian Wedding Awards. Over 50,000 wedding vendors throughout Australia were involved in the awards. The stunning Emu Park venue offers Functions, Events and Accommodation and is perfect for wedding receptions, corporate and business functions, health and wellness retreats, and education workshops. Business managers Charmaine Embling and Trevor Duffy said, “The Haven is a special place to so many and we are grateful to be in the top five nationally at the Australian Wedding Awards.”
“This award is a testament to the amazing foundation and reputation for excellence that previous management and staff established during their time at The Haven and carried on by the current team.”
While The Haven doesn’t host wedding ceremonies, there are nearby ceremony venues offering gorgeous coastal views that enable a seamless transition to The Haven for wedding receptions and accommodation. The Haven offers extensive accommodation including a 17-room lodge, three five-bedroom houses and two single-bedroom beachfront cottages.
“Our beach cottages are our guests’ favourite houses to stay in,” Charmaine said.
“They are quirky 1950s-style cottages full of character and charm, perfect for a romantic get-away”.
The four-and-a-half-hectare venue is positioned on a gently sloping hillside overlooking the shoreline of the Capricorn Coast and accommodates up to 77 people.
Complimenting the accommodation options at The Haven are two large function halls with panoramic coastal views, one of which has a fully equipped commercial kitchen for all your catering requirements. There are also two stunning event lawns with exquisite views, private access to Haven Beach, a large outdoor barbeque area, a traditional French Chartres-styled labyrinth, and large family fire pit.
Recently The Haven has hosted many wellness retreats, yoga and sewing workshops, and also martial arts groups, gym and boot camps and hobby groups.
Having eight staff members, Trevor said there isn’t a job they can’t do. “If jobs need to be done, our staff get in and do it,” he said. “We work very well together and I think that shows the harmony and tranquility of The Haven. Our guests benefit from that tremendously.”
The Haven is taking bookings for 2025 but some dates are still available in 2024 for wedding receptions.
