Youth Group

The Rocky Northside Catholic Youth Group have recently been exploring the themes of identity, being made in the image of God and treating others with the dignity they deserve as a child of God. To put this in action, we wanted to reach out to some of those people in our community who are sometimes not treated with respect and dignity.  Aided by the kind donations of many parishioners and the school community, on the 21st October the youth spent their youth group evening making cards and creating care packages for the homeless and for elderly. We pray that these packages will help them to know the love and care of our good God.

All Soul’s Day

On All Soul’s Day the combined Rockhampton Catholic Parishes Bereavement Teams hosted the Memorial Mass for those family and friends that have entered eternal life with Jesus.  Bishop Michael presided at the Mass that was very well attended, where families placed a flower for their loved ones next to the Altar.

The families stayed on for light refreshments following the Mass and enjoyed the company of many friends from across all the Rockhampton Parishes.

St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal

Also the St Vincent de Paul are calling for donations towards their annual Christmas Hampers.  Donations can be left at any of the North Rockhampton Catholic Churches and will be distributed to families to brighten their Christmas.
