It was an honour for St Patrick’s Emerald to host the 2022 National Police Remembrance Day in September, a tradition that dates back more than 11 years. The Remembrance service not only brings together the police and emergency services of the region, it also brings together religious leaders of Emerald, who share in the readings and prayers for the service. This year was particularly touching for the Emerald Police who acknowledged the passing Detective Senior Constable Benique Vanessa Howes who served the Emerald community 2013 to 2016.
