Isisford 150 Years Celebrations

Pentecost was a special time in Isisford as it coincided with the 150 year celebrations of the town. Fr Bang, accompanied by Pastors Jason, Liz and Ben, led an ecumenical worship service for the large crowd gathered in St Joseph’s Catholic Church. It was a fitting end to the 2024 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity – a concrete gesture of prayer in action as locals and visitors of various Christian denominations gathered together in joy to celebrate their common bond as children of God, and their shared interest in Isisford.
Fr Bang was also invited to be involved in the burial of the time capsule adjacent to the Isisford Community Hall. The weekend was a wonderful celebration of Isisford’s past and present, and it is a tribute to the culture of the community that Christianity remains a valued part of the town.
