Invitation for Signs of the Times Online Launch
25 November, 2021The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference and the Catholic Justice and Peace Commission of the Archdiocese of Brisbane have worked together over the past year to create Signs of the Times, a theological framework for creating a ‘Culture of Encounter’.
This ‘culture of encounter’ has been a key theme of Pope Francis’ Papacy so far, and this partnership was undertaken to reflect on experience and bring it to life in parishes and schools across the country.
Reflecting on this process, together they have discerned five key themes to create a framework, that of encounter, accompaniment, love, inclusion and dialogue.
This will result in resources and tools which will be housed on a website free for use for all.
This framework will be launched at 5:30pm QLD (6.30pm AEDT) on 30 November online and all are invited to join Bishop Vincent Long Van Nguyen OFM Conv in attending. Bishop Vincent will be joined by Aunty Ravina Waldren, Coordinator of Aboriginal Catholic Ministry for the Archdiocese of Brisbane who offer responses to the Project.
