Chief Health Officer Public Health Directions Update | 22 April 2021

NEW PUBLIC HEALTH DIRECTION  

Queensland Health is continuing to respond to the declared public health emergency in relation to coronavirus (COVID-19). The below Public Health Directions are for all of Queensland.

In the past 24 hours, the following Public Health Direction was issued.

Aged Care Direction (No. 27)

Effective from 21 April 2021.

The purpose of this Direction is to protect those living in residential aged care facilities.

The Direction has been updated so that:

  • From 30 May 2021, you must have had the 2021 flu vaccine if it is available to you, to enter an aged care facility. This includes children over six months of age.

This Direction replaces the former Aged Care Direction (No. 26) made on 8 April 2021.
