TCC Coin Drop flows to Caritas

26 April, 2025

The Cathedral College Caritas Coin Drop galvanised students and staff to give to poverty-stricken communities in countries like Samoa and the Democratic Republic of Congo.  During House Assembly coins poured in to fill the letters of the word CARITAS, a visible reminder of how small compassionate actions together produce a substantial and meaningful outcome.  This was just one of the College’s initiatives to support the many projects of Caritas Australia across the globe.  About 40 students rallied for the Caritas Carwash on a Saturday morning scrubbing cars to help provide cleaner water in schools across the Pacific.  The Library’s Tapitas Wall and the Galactic Donut Drive also generated a flow of contributions.  The College’s annual Caritas effort raised over $5000 and creatively encouraged students and staff to care for those in need of the necessities of life responding to Christ’s call to live life in all its fullness.
