Operations Manager, Rockhampton Catholic Parishes

This month we welcome Joy Mendoza as the Operations Manager with the Rockhampton Catholic Parishes.

Joy has an impressive 31-year tenure in the business industry, and has garnered extensive expertise through a range of roles within renowned global corporations. Her academic qualifications underscore her commitment to professional growth, culminating in the acquisition of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, with a specialisation in Leadership and People Management. Through her coaching and training initiatives, Joy has successfully guided numerous employees towards leadership roles and excelled in managing large teams within multimillion-dollar companies. Her exceptional leadership has been recognised through several accolades received in recognition of her outstanding contributions.

Opening School Mass at St Joseph’s Primary School

On Friday, 7th February,  St Joseph’s Primary School Park Avenue celebrated the new school year of 2025 with parishioners from Park Avenue Catholic Parish.  The combined school and parish Mass was celebrated by Fr Jomon who advised the children that the greatest gift of all was to Love one another as he congratulated the children from prep to grade 6 on their excellent behaviour and responses during the  Mass.  School Principal Mr Bernard Fitzgerald thanked the special invited guests Mrs Catherine Simmonds from Catholic Education Office and Mr Kevin Hogan the Parish Manager of the Park Avenue Catholic Parish for their attendance and support and also thanked Mrs Elizabeth Carter for the preparation of the Liturgy and all the school children for their involvement and good behaviour and encouraged them to learn as much as possible during 2025 and eventually reap the benefits of their efforts at the close of the school year of 2025.
