News from Mackay
26 April, 2025
“It was another wonderful evening for the Mackay Catholic Dinner Club. The guest speaker was Mackay Regional Councillor Namarca Corowa. Namarca shared his deep connection to his cultural heritage and spoke warmly about the work he and his wife, Vikki, do to support others in the community.
In addition to his role representing the people of Mackay through Council meetings and key committees, Namarca is also the Founding Director of Reconcile Life Pty Ltd, a company dedicated to empowering individuals and businesses to be their best. The organization is vital in delivering services in men’s behavioral change, youth at risk, mental health, and well-being services across the Mackay and surrounding Regions in Central Queensland.
Namarca spoke passionately about the importance of today’s youth and the ways they are stepping up to make a difference. He often returned to a simple but powerful message: “Love one another.” He also drew from the Lord’s Prayer to highlight how we should treat each other with kindness and respect.
Before entering local government, Namarca worked in Youth Justice, employment, and training, and together with his wife Vikki, they have also opened their home as foster carers—further demonstrating their commitment to helping those in need.
Our next dinner will be on Monday 28th April”
