On a beautiful day filled with joy and spiritual renewal, 30 children from the Gladstone Parish received the Sacrament of Holy Communion, marking an important milestone in their Catholic faith. The ceremony took place in the parish church, surrounded by the warmth of family, friends, and the community.
The girls were radiant in their beautiful white garments, symbolizing purity and new beginnings, while the boys looked adorable in their formal attire, exuding a sense of pride and reverence.
Following the sacred ceremony, the celebration continued with a reception for the families and guests. A delicious cake was shared, symbolizing the sweetness of this spiritual journey and the joy of the occasion. The church hall was filled with laughter, smiles, and a sense of community as everyone came together to honor this significant event in the lives of these young parishioners.
Many thanks go to those who assisted in their formation over the past several months as the children entered into the life of the Church in richer, deeper and fuller ways.
The day will be remembered as a time of faith, celebration, and unity, marking the beginning of a deeper spiritual journey for the 30 children in the Gladstone Parish.
The photos above and below are from the 8am Mass, but there were also children who received Holy Communion for the first time at Tannum Sands during the 5pm Saturday evening Mass and also at Star of the Sea during the 6pm Mass.

On the 8th September, a Sunday and the Feast of the Birth of Mary, the Catholic Community of Miriam Vale celebrated this special day with a barbecue lunch following Mass.
