RCIA Rite of Acceptance
Just before Christmas we celebrated with two more catechumens at their Rite of Acceptance.
Christmas Liturgies and Carols.
Mass attendances were large for the celebration of Christmas. Family reunions saw generations come together at the Children’s Mass as children enacted the Nativity story. The weekend before St James church hosted a Carols celebration with some country-of-birth carols to entertain all.
Blanket Buddies
Blanket Buddies held their Christmas party and celebrated a wonderful year of achievement with the following list of donations.
• Blankets 412
• Adult Beanies 375
• Children and baby beanies 130
• Scarves 87
• Children jackets 36
• Slippers 25
• Teddy Bears and stuffed toys 43
• Fiddle muffs 57.
• Crochet Christmas decorations 3,000.
The group reconvened on January 15 and look forward to another successful year of service and friendship.
Commissioning of Parish Stewardship Council
After a process of nomination and discernment, the new and ongoing members of our Parish Stewardship Council were commissioned on Sunday, February 2nd. The first meeting of the new Council was held on following Wednesday evening.
We express our gratitude to the five new and five ongoing members and assure them of our prayerful support as they begin their term of office.
Catholic Women’s League
To begin 2025, the Catholic Women’s League members gathered for Mass on Monday, February 3 and held their Annual general Meeting on February 4th.
Reports showed a highly successful year of service and support and a good membership of thirty-five ladies.
A new executive was elected and plans for 2025 were put in place.

ALPHA
ALPHA commenced on February 6
Seventeen participants and the Team gathered for the first night of ALPHA.
