22 July, 2024First Holy Communion
The weekend of June 15/16 saw our Churches and parishioners welcome the recently confirmed young people to the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Families gathered with their young relatives in celebration of this significant event in their Faith journey.
Congratulations to all and our sincere gratitude to the Sacramental Team who had prepared our young people so well.
Stewardship Renewal
Commencing from June 22/23, all parishioners have been invited to join in prayer as we relook at our gifts and talents and prepare to commit to service by use of these gifts in the more than ninety ministries and devotional groups within our Parish. Over the next few weeks concluding with a recommissioning of all involved in Ministry on September 14/15, parishioners will be encouraged to discern their gifts, pray as to how these gifts may be used in Parish ministries, commit their gifts of time, talent and treasure, join in a training renewal, and go out to bring God’s love in serving all people in our Parish and wider community.
Do it for Cancer
A small but enthusiastic group organised the Parish’s annual luncheon in aid of cancer research. The group is grateful to business houses and to the many parishioners who donated more than one hundred prizes for the fund raiser. The pre-dinner entertainment was provided by violinist, Bernadette Connolly and the lunch time was made even more delightful by the vocals of the acapella group, “Rhythms of the Reef” who entertained all with a medley of numbers.
