1st XIII celebrates confraternity win.
St Brendan’s College has emerged victorious once again, securing their 14th Confraternity Shield title! This incredible achievement cements our school’s position as the most awarded in the competition’s 44-year history.
Head Coach Scotty Minto is reflecting on an epic 3-year journey, starting with the Aaron Payne Cup in 2021, the Dolphins Cup in 2022, and now the Confraternity Shield in 2023. Not only did our team secure the prestigious Confraternity Shield, but we also had some outstanding individual performances. Let’s give a huge shoutout to Simon Green, who was awarded the well-deserved SBC Player of the Carnival! 🏅 Additionally, Tommy Green was recognized for embodying the SBC Spirit of Confraternity.
We are incredibly proud of our players who were selected for the 2023 Confraternity Merit side. Congratulations to Rydell Tyrell, chosen at Centre, Tyler Melrose as Halfback, and Carter Ford, and Jake Pierce coming off the bench. Lastly, let’s not forget to celebrate Carter Ford, who was named the Player of the Final.
Congratulations once again to the 1st XIII!
